Egg donation is an assisted reproductive treatment which involves an in vitro fertilisation (IVF) with eggs from a donor. Egg donation frequently benefits women who cannot use their own eggs for various reasons, including ovarian failure, avoiding congenital anomalies in the fetus, or advanced age. As such, oocyte donation makes the miracle of life possible for women who would not be able to have children any other way.

  • First visit or consultation

At the first stage you will get acquainted with the coordinator and the doctor. You will be able to choose the treatment program that suits you best and sign all the necessary documents.

  • Egg donor matching.

You can contact a medical coordinator, who will be happy to give you access to the oocyte donor database. In the database of donors, you can choose the one that suits you in all aspects: eye color, hair color and more. After the matching the doctor contacts you and gives you a list of all examinations which will be needed for the program.

  • Ovarian stimulation for the Donor and lining preparation for the Recepient.

If your choice was a fresh oocyte donation cycle, your cycle will be synchronized with the donor cycle. You will have endometrial stimulation with components of Estradiol and Progesterone. Before the start of stimulation, our doctor will review all your tests and will be able to prepare the optimal treatment protocol for you distantly. All you need is to do ultrasound scans and send them via email to the doctor or coordinator.

  • Egg retrieval or thawing of vitrified oocytes.

The most important stage of stimulation is the egg retrieval. On this day, your partner must be present at the clinic to deliver a fresh dose of fertilization material. If you choose vitrified donor oocytes in this case, they will be thawed on the appropriate day and fertilized with material from your partner. After fertilization embryos are cultivated up to 5 days and then are ready for the procedure of transfer to the recipient uterus.

  • Embryotransfer

For this procedure you have to visit a clinic for 2-3 hours. You need to fulfill your bladder with water so that you have a full bladder at the time of the procedure. Embryotrasfer is a procedure, during which an embryo is transferred to the uterus under ultrasound control by thin flexible catheter. The procedure is performed without anesthesia, before the procedure you can eat after as well. Exercise is not recommended.

  • Pregnancy test

Pregnancy test. In two weeks after the embryotransfer you are recommended to have blood test for HCG. If it’s positive – you are pregnant. Our doctor will prescribe you medicines for next two weeks until your ultrasound scan.

PGS testing of embryos

We offer for our patients the possibility to use Pre-Implantation Genetic Screening (PGS), which is an IVF procedure designed to examine embryos for chromosomal abnormalities. Without PGS, embryos are chosen based only on their visual quality and morphology, which cannot distinguish chromosomally normal embryos from abnormal embryos.

Several studies have shown that overall, about 50% of human preimplantation embryos from IVF are chromosomally abnormal. The rate of abnormalities is affected greatly by female age.

Thanks to the chromosomal screening, the Surrogacy or Egg Donation treatment increases the success rates per embryo transfer and it consequently increases the chances of having a healthy baby.

If you need more information or an advice concerning surrogacy treatment, fill in the form and we will reply within 24 hours.
